This older page was shorter than the current EarnSouthAfrica quality bar. It is kept for old bookmarks, but we now point readers to stronger, maintained pages instead of serving a thin guide as if it were complete.
Fiverr is the world's largest gig marketplace. This guide covers how South Africans can use it effectively.
How to Start
Sign up at fiverr.com. Add Payoneer in Settings. Create your first gig with a clear title, description, and packages. Publish and wait for orders.
How to Get Clients
Optimise gig images and descriptions. Use Buyer Requests. Respond quickly. Price competitively at first. Build reviews, then raise prices.
How to Withdraw in South Africa
Use the payout method available in your Fiverr account, such as PayPal, Bank Transfer via Payoneer, Payoneer Account, or Payoneer Revenue Card. Clearance is commonly 14 days, with shorter periods for some eligible programmes.
Taxes
Fiverr doesn't handle tax. Declare to SARS. Keep records in ZAR. See our tax guide.
Common Mistakes
Pricing too low, weak gig images, slow responses, overpromising delivery time, not tracking earnings.
