EarnSouthAfrica publishes practical guides about side hustles, online income, passive income, and platform payouts for South Africans. This page explains how we research articles, how we update them, and how we handle corrections.

What we publish

We focus on topics where South African readers need local context: payout methods, tax treatment, exchange-rate reality, platform availability, and risk. We aim to publish material that is useful even if a reader never clicks an ad or affiliate link.

How we research

  • We prioritize primary sources such as platform help centers, payout documentation, SARS guidance, FSCA material, and official pricing pages.
  • When we cite third-party sources, we use them to add context rather than replace primary documentation.
  • We avoid publishing earnings claims as guarantees. Where ranges are used, they are estimates based on reported market conditions and public information.

Review and updates

Articles are published under the EarnSouthAfrica editorial desk byline and reviewed for clarity, local relevance, and source quality before they go live. We revisit pages when platform rules, fees, payouts, or tax guidance materially change.

  • Platform fee or commission changes
  • Payout-method or withdrawal changes for South Africa
  • Major legal, tax, or regulatory changes
  • Reader-submitted corrections with credible evidence

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to help with research organization, outlines, and drafting support. We do not treat AI output as a source. Platform claims, payout details, tax commentary, and policy-sensitive material are checked against primary documentation before publication.

Corrections policy

If you spot an error, outdated fee, broken link, or misleading claim, email contact@earnsouthafrica.co.za. We review correction requests and update the relevant page when the evidence supports it.

Commercial independence

EarnSouthAfrica may earn from ads and affiliate partnerships, but commercial relationships do not determine which platforms we cover or how we describe them. For more detail, read our Disclaimer and About page.
