Print on Demand Requirements South Africa

Archived quick reference

This older page has been retired from the public guide index

This older page was shorter than the current EarnSouthAfrica quality bar. It is kept for old bookmarks, but we now point readers to stronger, maintained pages instead of serving a thin guide as if it were complete.

To start Print on Demand from South Africa, you need a few things in place.

Designs

Create your own designs or use licensed assets. Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or hire a designer on Fiverr. Avoid copyright violations—only use what you own or have rights to.

POD Provider Account

Printful and Printify are the main options. Both are free to sign up. Printful: simpler, higher base cost. Printify: connects to multiple printers, often lower costs.

Store or Marketplace

Etsy and Shopify are popular. Redbubble and TeePublic are marketplaces—you upload, they handle sales and fulfilment. Amazon Merch requires approval.

Payment Method

PayPal or Payoneer. Most South Africans use Payoneer—link to your SA bank and withdraw in ZAR.

See our main Print on Demand guide for the full setup process.
