Fiverr Requirements South Africa 2025

To sell on Fiverr from South Africa, you need a few things in place.

Fiverr Account

Create a free account at fiverr.com. Use email or sign in with Google. Choose a username—it becomes your storefront.

Skills

You must be able to deliver the service you offer. Fiverr doesn't verify skills, but buyers will. Start with what you know: design, writing, video, data entry, etc.

Payment Method

Fiverr pays via Payoneer, Fiverr Revenue Card (Payoneer-powered), or bank transfer. Most South Africans use Payoneer—sign up at payoneer.com, link to Fiverr, then withdraw to your SA bank in ZAR. Grey is another option for receiving USD/GBP/EUR and converting to rand.

ID Verification

Fiverr may request ID when you set up payouts. Have your SA ID or passport ready.

No Upfront Cost

Fiverr is free to join. You only pay the 20% fee when you earn. No subscription, no listing fee.
