Affiliate Marketing Requirements South Africa

Archived quick reference

This older page has been retired from the public guide index

This older page was shorter than the current EarnSouthAfrica quality bar. It is kept for old bookmarks, but we now point readers to stronger, maintained pages instead of serving a thin guide as if it were complete.

To start affiliate marketing from South Africa, you need a few things in place.

Platform

A blog (WordPress, Blogger), YouTube channel, Instagram, TikTok, or website. You need somewhere to share affiliate links. Free options exist—WordPress.com, Blogger, or a simple site.

Affiliate Account

Amazon Associates and Takealot Affiliate are free to join. ClickBank and ShareASale also accept South Africans. Apply with your platform URL and a short description of your content.

Payment Method

PayPal or Payoneer for international programs. Takealot pays directly to your SA bank account in ZAR.

Content

Reviews, comparisons, how-to guides, or listicles that naturally include product recommendations. Honest, helpful content converts better than spammy links.

See our main Affiliate Marketing guide for the full setup process.
